Maharajbagh Zoo is a zoological garden located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The zoo was founded in 1904 and is spread over an area of 93 acres.The zoo is home to over 1,200 animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, and rhinoceroses. The zoo also has a number of endangered species, such as the white tiger and the pangolin.

History

Maharajbagh Zoo was founded in 1904 by the Maharaja of Nagpur, Raghoji III Bhonsle. The zoo was originally located in the heart of Nagpur, but it was moved to its present location in 1953.
